Humanities Teacher – Full Time (ASAP Start)

Location: Preston
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: April 2026

About the Role

We are seeking two enthusiastic, dedicated, and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Preston. There are full-time positions starting as soon as possible, ideal for teachers passionate about inspiring young people across History & Geography.

You will join a supportive Humanities department committed to delivering high-quality teaching, raising attainment, and fostering a love of learning across Key Stages 3,4 & 5.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the Humanities curriculum
* Plan, prepare, and assess to ensure progress for all students
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment
* Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and school-wide initiatives
* Support pupils’ personal development and uphold the school’s values and behaviour expectations

* A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
* Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities disciplines
* Excellent classroom management skills
* A passion for teaching and motivating young people
* Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
