 
        
        Responsibilities
 * Assisting with ongoing design development and technical reviews.
 * Coordinating effectively with the construction team and other engineering disciplines.
 * Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
 * Supporting the resolution of site‑based issues during the construction phase.
 * Support the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
 * Conducting quality inspections at designated hold points and reporting findings.
 * Review and accept sub‑contractor designs, drawings and documents.
 * Update internal drawings, documents and calculations.
 * Support commissioning and handover process for CS&A deliverables and documentation.
 * Recruit, manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
 * Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved, review weekly, take action where appropriate, and report any changes to the construction manager and QS department.
 * Key point of contact for clients for project progress and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
 * Set the highest example for Health and Safety Requirements.
Qualifications
 * Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering.
 * Relevant experience in large construction projects (building projects preferred).
 * The ability to work in a commercial focused way that achieves programme, meets performance targets and generates income.
 * A good understanding of the CDM regulations.
 * Keep up to date with industry best practice and apply best practice where appropriate.
 * Professional membership of a relevant industry body such as IEng or CEng is desirable.
 * Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks software packages is desirable.
 * Relevant CSCS card.
 * Training in health & safety and environmental management.
 * Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, document control system).
