Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity as Deputy Business support manager- Children in need (CIN) available on a part time basis.

Are you an experienced manager with strong organisational and IT skills? Ealing Council is looking for a Deputy Business Support Manager to join our Children in need team. This includes the line management of a fast-paced service, delivering robust and efficient support for our social care teams and service users.

This role involves planning, prioritising, managing, and reviewing the day-to-day workload of staff and self while responding to fluctuating pressures and daily demands. The role also involves buildings management of our Greenford service centre.

In addition, you will be managing the team's budgets, responsible for recruitment of agency and permanent staff. You will support and deputise for the Business Operations Manager in managing the business support function to aid front-line services in delivering statutory services to vulnerable children and their families, efficiently and effectively.

You will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Imprest accounts, AllPay and corporate credit card accounts, ensuring that all income and expenditure is processed and properly accounted for, and monthly reconciliation prepared and submitted. This varies between approx. £30- £50k per month.

About you

* You will have experience as a manager, leading a team in a dynamic, busy service within a children's service or similar setting.
* An experienced people manager, you will manage the work performance, conduct and development of staff
* You will be able to manage conflicting priorities within deadlines with exceptional communication, organisational and IT skills.
* You will have experience managing finance, including budget forecasting and manual cash handling.
* You will also have experience of buildings management
