GSL Education are looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join schools in Newcastle. The Teaching Assistant (TA) will work alongside teachers to provide in-class support, helping students stay engaged and achieve their learning goals.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support during lessons.
* Assist with preparing classroom resources and activities.
* Encourage positive behaviour and active participation.
* Support students with additional learning needs where required.
* Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Requirements of Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
* Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
