A well-established, independent civil & structural engineering consultancy is looking to hire a Structural Engineer to join its growing buildings team. You'll work on a varied portfolio of UK projects across sectors such as residential, education, healthcare, leisure and commercial, supporting delivery from early concept through to construction.
What you’ll be doing
* Producing structural designs, calculations and technical reports (steel, concrete, masonry and timber)
* Supporting scheme development, options appraisals and detailed design
* Coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants to ensure practical, buildable solutions
* Assisting with drawing/specification production and design information reviews
* Contributing to project delivery, including responding to site queries and attending meetings when required
* Working within modern digital workflows
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Experience delivering UK building structures projects
* Familiarity with common analysis/design tools (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS, etc.)
* Understanding of UK codes/standards
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
* Working towards chartership (ICE/IStructE) or already Chartered (depending on level)
