Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a meticulous Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process and ensuring timely payment from customers.
Responsibilities:
- Chasing outstanding debts via phone, email, and letters
- Resolving customer billing queries
- Allocating payments in the accounting system
- Conducting credit checks on new customers
- Maintaining accurate records of all communications with customers
- Working closely with the sales team to resolve payment issues promptly
- Producing regular reports on aged debt and credit control performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
