We are recruiting passionate and committed Personal Advisors to join Lancashire County Council’s Children’s Social Care – Leaving Care Service. You will support care experienced young people aged 15¾ to 25 as they transition to independence, ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Hold a caseload of care leavers and provide tailored support to meet their individual needs.
 2. Contribute to and coordinate Pathway Plans and reviews.
 3. Advocate for young people, ensuring they understand their rights and entitlements.
 4. Support access to education, employment, training, housing, health services, and financial support.
 5. Promote resilience, independence, and positive outcomes.
 6. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and internal teams.
 7. Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and supervision.
What We’re Looking For
 8. Experience working with vulnerable young people or care leavers.
 9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 10. Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989, Children Leaving Care Act 2000, and related statutory guidance.
 11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 12. Commitment to promoting equality, participation, and young people’s voices.
