The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting for a beautiful nursing home in Wroxham. Are you a talented and experienced Home Manager seeking an exciting new opportunity? Look no further!
As our Care Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home.
As a regulated business, we expect the candidate to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and be familiar with all relevant legislation and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care and support to residents, meeting financial targets, and maintaining full occupancy.
You will be supported externally by dedicated Operations and Central teams, and within the home by a Deputy Manager, Administrator, Hospitality, and Housekeeping teams. These teams will collaborate to ensure smooth operations and exceptional care.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and direction to staff, promoting kindness, compassion, and empathy.
* Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a skilled care team committed to person-centred care.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain high standards of care.
* Manage the budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy and promote services.
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders, responding to their needs.
* Oversee administrative tasks to ensure timely and efficient record-keeping.
* Monitor and evaluate home performance, implementing improvements as needed.
* Manage risks to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Skills and attributes:
* Experience managing a nursing home.
* Strong knowledge of CQC standards with a record of achieving Outstanding ratings.
* Excellent communication skills for working with professionals, families, and visitors.
* Proven marketing and business skills in the private care sector.
* Enthusiasm for high levels of person-centred care.
* Participation in the growth and development of the care service.
Education and qualifications:
* Preferably NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).
