We are looking for a highly experienced Geophysical Specialist to support offshore and infrastructure projects by delivering geophysical expertise across the full project lifecycle. This role will involve working closely within a multidisciplinary technical team, providing hands-on support to ongoing projects while also assisting package management with a broad range of technical responsibilities.
The position will require the provision of geophysical input as needed across multiple workstreams, including reviewing technical reports, datasets, and project documentation to ensure quality and consistency. You will play a key role in supporting consent application activities, working across packages to align geophysical outputs with wider project and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will contribute to survey planning activities and provide technical input during tendering and contractor selection processes.
A significant part of the role involves working across both client and contractor environments, supporting coordination and delivery of interdisciplinary survey programmes. This includes engaging with survey teams, ensuring alignment between geophysical objectives and engineering or environmental requirements, and maintaining high standards of technical delivery throughout.
Candidates should bring extensive experience in managing or working within multidisciplinary geophysical survey teams, with a strong understanding of offshore survey operations. Demonstrable experience in the planning, acquisition, and interpretation of 3D Ultra-High Resolution Seismic (UUHRS) data is essential, alongside broader experience with other geophysical datasets typically used in offshore and infrastructure projects.
A degree in geoscience or a closely related discipline is required, along with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical judgement, the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple packages, and effective communication skills when working with a range of stakeholders.
