Nigel Wright Group is delighted to be supporting a well-established, purpose-led housing and property organisation with the appointment of a Multi‑Skilled Repairs & Maintenance Technician.

The Role
As a Multi‑Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of day-to-day repairs and minor works across a regional housing portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out repairs across multiple trades including:
* Carpentry, plumbing, plastering, masonry and general maintenance
* Conducting whole-house property inspections and diagnosing maintenance issues
* Capturing stock condition data and preparing schedules of work for larger repairs
* Supporting the delivery of maintenance services alongside senior surveying colleagues
* Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
* Engaging directly with tenants, delivering a customer-focused and respectful service
* Completing risk assessments and working in line with all health and safety requirements
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will work independently while contributing to wider service delivery and continuous improvement.
About You
We are seeking a reliable and skilled professional with strong experience across multiple trades and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will bring:
* Practical experience in multi-trade repairs (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, etc.)
* A strong understanding of:
* Building regulations
* Housing maintenance and building pathology
* Experience carrying out property inspections and fault diagnosis
* Good IT skills and confidence using mobile devices for reporting
* Excellent communication and a tenant-first approach
* Strong organisational and time management skills
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in carpentry or plumbing, plus a second trade at Level 2
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel across a regional patch
