Post availability - post Scrub Team Leader in Spinal Surgery
We have vacancies for permanent, full-time Team Leaders RN/ODP in Anaesthetic or Scrub for the new Surgical Elective Unit Operating Theatre Department (NOTSSCaN Theatres). This theatre complex is a -theatre unit and is expected to open in June. Specialities include vascular, spine and plastic surgery.
The applicants are required to be flexible and lead the anaesthetic or surgery teams.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated staff to join the current JR and West Wing theatre team in preparation for the opening of the new Surgical Elective Unit theatres. Applicants will be expected to have at least years of extensive experience in their respective area (anaesthetics/scrub/recovery) and have completed an equivalent practice supervisor/assessor course.
Applicants should ideally have a specialist qualification for their area of practice or be willing to undertake this. Applicants must have excellent communication, negotiating and effective leadership skills to thrive in a busy team environment.
We have educational opportunities to support your development and career progression embedded into or comprehensive Education Strategy. This initially includes Band competencies, support from your Deputy Matron, Band colleagues and the Education team. Once established there are further opportunities to develop your career through academic courses, shadowing senior staff and involvement in cross divisional projects.
This is a full-time post, which includes a commitment to day, weekend, bank holiday working and on-call participation.
