Join our Field Response team in the Stirling and Falkirk Area and as an NSO you’ll help our teams make sure Scotland has a constant supply of safe, high-quality water.
Responsibilities
* Problem-solver extraordinaire who makes quick, accurate work of customer enquiries and network operations to help fix water supply problems.
* Operate tasks such as valve shut-offs, identifying bursts, and other duties as required.
* Work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment that is dynamic and rewarding, while ensuring tasks are completed safely.
* Engage with internal stakeholders to resolve complex customer or network issues and provide excellent service to customers.
* Collect relevant data, report on customer issues, and promote follow-on work to recover service issues, address technical requirements, and update GIS drawings.
* Explain policies and regulations to customers, including byelaws and codes of practice.
* Carry out sampling on new mains, bursts, or customer complaints to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of how the water network operates, including DOMS policies, risk assessment method statements, hygiene code, and access and transfer certificates.
* Strong health and safety focus to keep the team and customers safe.
* Excellent communication skills to provide the information customers need.
* Valid driving licence; wheels provided by the company.
* Willingness to participate in the standby rota for out-of-hours work.

The not-so-small print
* This role is Grade 5. Starting salary £32,650; potential to progress to a maximum of £38,610 with performance-based pay progression.
