Job Overview

Godstowe is a thriving, busy School enjoying a famous reputation in its field and now in its 125th anniversary year. Approximately a third of our pupils are boarders. The School prepares children for entry, mostly at 13+ but some at 11+, into the leading independent senior schools. The School prides itself in academic excellence, whilst being non-selective at entry.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-presented receptionist to work alongside our existing receptionist in Main School. The role will be responsible directly to the Director of Finance and Operations.

The major part of the job is the welcoming of visitors, answering the main school telephone and dealing with all queries from parents, pupils and visitors always ensuring the safety and welfare of the children as first priority, and as such is term time only.

The working hours will approximately be 20.5 hours per week as follows;

Monday - 2.30pm - 7.00pm

Tuesday - 7.45am - 11.15am

Wednesday - 7.45am - 11.15am

Thursday - 2.30pm - 7.00pm

Friday - 2.30pm - 7.00pm

Occasional work during the holidays will be required when parent communications need to be published. You will be compensated for these additional hours or time off in lieu can be agreed.
