Vendor Management Officer | Digital Services – Lancashire County Council
Location: Preston | Salary: £46,142 – £51,356 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week
We’re looking for a Vendor Management Officer to oversee the performance of digital suppliers, ensuring contracts deliver value for money and vendors meet Lancashire County Council’s high standards for service, security, and innovation. This position is within the newly formed Digital Commissioning Service, a key driver of our Digital Strategy 2025–2029.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage supplier relationships and support contract negotiations.
* Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual and cybersecurity standards.
* Conduct vendor evaluations and risk assessments.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is up to date.
* Support vendor onboarding and integration with council service standards.
* Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations to align vendor activity with council objectives.
What We’re Looking For
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience in digital services, vendor management, or a related field.
* Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and digital procurement.
* Familiarity with licensing, asset management, and cybersecurity compliance.
* Understanding of vendor risk and performance monitoring.
* Ability to manage documentation and maintain accurate records.
* Knowledge of public sector procurement and digital service standards.
