Job Description
We're hiring for an experienced A/C Engineer to join a small, high-performing team delivering service and maintenance across critical commercial cooling systems. Based in the South East — you'll cover a clean patch with minimal London work and well-planned travel.
This role offers a mix of planned and reactive maintenance across uptime-critical environments like remote telecoms cabins, data centres, and leisure sites — ideal for someone who takes pride in fault-finding, values autonomy, and doesn't want to be micromanaged.
What you'll be doing
You'll be servicing and diagnosing issues on VRV/VRF and split systems, with some chiller work (mostly screw and scroll). Whether you're on your own or occasionally supporting junior engineers, you'll need to be confident in your diagnostics, produce clean reports, and communicate clearly with clients. There's also a light callout rota — 1-in-7, with standby pay — and manufacturer-led training is part of the package.
What You'll Need to Have
* F-Gas certification
* Strong diagnostics experience with VRV/VRF and split systems
* Commercial A/C background (no domestic work)
* Full UK driving licence
* Chiller experience is a bonus but not essential
* Based in the South East — Watford, Basingstoke, or nearby
What's in It for You
* £45,000 – £50,000 base salary (50-hour week incl. travel)
* Paid overtime after 10 hours/day
* Transit Custom van (private use allowed)
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Phone, tablet, PPE, and uniform provided
* Optional France rotation (£200/day while abroad, all travel arranged)
* NEST pension
* Supportive, technically strong team
What's Next
If this sounds like your kind of role, just send over whatever version of your CV you've got handy — no need to polish it. The van, tools, and support are all ready to go.
