Role Overview
The Role: You will work within the departments across the Trust, providing ward-based respiratory tests where required. You will support trainees, perform and interpret a wide range of respiratory investigations, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the respiratory diagnostic service.
Responsibilities
* Perform respiratory investigations in accordance with ARTP/BTS/ERS guidelines, including Spirometry/Flow volume loops, Single breath Gas transfer, Static lung volumes via body plethysmography, FeNO, Reversibility studies, and Capillary blood gases.
* Interpret lung function tests and explain results to non‑respiratory colleagues.
* Record all activity, validate results in a timely manner, and maintain accurate documentation.
* Support trainees and work under standard operating policies and procedures of the department and the NHS.
* Uphold high standards of professionalism, health and safety, risk reduction, confidentiality, patient care, dignity, equality and diversity as set out in the NHS Constitution.
