Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Night Shifts)

The Role
* An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to support a high-precision production environment.
* The role is fully nights and plays a key part in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across site.
* This is a hands-on position suited to an engineer comfortable working autonomously on nights while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across CNC and manufacturing equipment
* Respond to breakdowns and perform fault-finding to minimise downtime
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety procedures, including isolations and permits
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to root cause analysis
Equipment & Environment
* CNC machinery (lathes, mills, machining centres)
* Automated and semi-automated production equipment
* Precision manufacturing / machining environment
About You
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
* Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Indentured Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
* Strong mechanical background with electrical fault-finding capability
* PPM and Breakdown/Reactive maintenance experience
* Experience assembling complex mechanical assemblies.
* Experience optimising processes and procedures to improve output.
* Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery.
* Experience maintaining CNC and automated machinery
* Comfortable working independently on a night shift
* Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled)
