The Company
Our client is a market-leading organisation that has seen its turnover quadruple over the last 5 years! They are a well-established international manufacturing business. Due to this exceptional growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Manager to join their team.
The Role
The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the brand to deliver strong performance, developing NPDs, building brand awareness, and achieving commercial targets.
This is a pivotal role within the company, focused on brand growth and expansion, as well as short-term initiatives to drive commercial success.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identify and develop new growth opportunities for the brand, build brand awareness, distinctiveness, and innovation pipelines in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director.
2. Take ownership of brand sales, profit, and market share performance, ensuring targets are met and risks and opportunities are highlighted.
3. Engage with customers, inspire buyers in major retailers to list products, and work with category marketing to develop persuasive selling stories and trade rationales.
4. Partner with international distributors to build the brand globally, understanding market needs and opportunities.
5. Ensure the brand's digital presence is optimized, with a communication plan aligned to brand objectives.
6. Develop NPDs and lead projects using the stage gate process, engaging senior management, and building robust go-to-market plans, including P&L ownership, trade stories, and consumer rationale.
7. Monitor industry trends and seize new opportunities.
8. Enhance profitability by optimizing product mix and managing costs of goods.
Requirements
* Previous experience in brand management is essential.
* Experience working in an FMCG business is essential.
* People management experience is desirable.
* Strong numeracy skills, comfortable analyzing category data and financials.
* Ability to shape strategic communication and drive brand initiatives with agility.
* Proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and advanced Excel skills are essential.
* Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders at various levels is essential.
