Role: Quality Assurance Assistant

This role sits within the Animal Nutrition and Health division, which is focused on improving animal lives through better nutrition. The team is dedicated to research, innovation, and creating solutions that deliver healthy and sustainable results for customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Assurance Assistant will support the FSQR Manager in daily activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, company feed safety policies, and customer expectations.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage and maintain the testing surveillance program, including interpretation of results and resolution of non-conformance issues.
* Support production in assessing and approving raw materials for positive release.
* Provide relevant data for KPI reporting.
* Assist in investigations related to non-conformance and customer complaints, applying root cause analysis and monitoring preventive actions.
* Act as Deputy for the FSQR Manager when required.
* Promote food and product safety awareness across the site, helping to develop the competencies of plant professionals.
* Support training, coaching, and mentoring of team members on food and product safety procedures.
* Assist in updating specific Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
* Contribute to internal and external safety and quality audits, helping to close gaps in production and maintenance processes.
* Handle routine issues with supervision, escalating more complex matters as necessary.
* Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
* Practical laboratory experience (e.g., NIR, mycotoxin testing equipment).
Preferred:
* Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Exposure to third-party audits (e.g., UFAS, VDM, Local Authority).
