Job Summary
This position is responsible for strategic communications planning and management of tactical communications programs. This includes omni-channel program creation, production, and tracking of tactics, from print and digital advertising to sales promotion and educational/clinical marketing. The Communications Senior Manager leads high-visibility projects, including launch campaigns, branding initiatives, global congresses, and internal communications. A strong tactical decision-maker, the Senior Manager handles unforeseen issues effectively and is a subject-matter expert in Communications and relevant product lines. The role includes managing a team of Communications Associates and Graphic Designers, and training new team members. Excellent writing/editing skills and the ability to direct graphic design are essential.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage worldwide communications for Hemostasis and/or Acute Care Diagnostics, including Whole Blood Hemostasis and Patient Blood Management products.
* Develop communication strategies, product positioning, messaging, and brand identities.
* Lead and project-manage omni-channel tactical programs, ensuring timely and within budget delivery.
* Set objectives and priorities; delegate assignments.
* Direct graphic development based on sound design principles.
* Manage advertising programs and media relations.
* Edit and proofread manuscripts and graphic layouts.
* Liaise with external agencies for execution of communication tactics.
* Manage internal communications programs.
* Oversee key national/global congress presentations.
* Contribute to social media and website content.
* Maintain and manage communication budgets.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
* At least 7 years' experience in Communications (industry or agency).
* Healthcare/medical diagnostics experience preferred.
* People management experience preferred.
Management may substitute relevant experience for a degree or adjust experience requirements.
