Job description

Role: Sales & Marketing Internship

Location: Romsey

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible)

Type: Full-time, in-person preferred

Compensation: £12.25 per hour

About Pars Rug Gallery

Pars Rug Gallery is a distinguished luxury retailer with locations in Southampton, Romsey, and

Hungerford, specializing in exquisite handmade rugs and unique handcrafted items. Our collection

features one-of-a-kind, high-end rugs, each with its own rich history and origin from diverse regions

around the world. In addition to our exceptional rugs, we offer a curated selection of other fine

handcrafted products, including antique mirrors, original paintings, and other unique decorative

pieces.

Beyond retail, Pars Rug Gallery provides professional services to both individual customers and

businesses. These include expert rug cleaning, meticulous restoration, insurance valuations and

more. Our dedicated team ensures that every item we sell or service receives the utmost care and

attention, reflecting the quality and heritage of our offerings.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Intern to support the growth of our

service offerings, including rug cleaning, restoration, and interior consultations. This internship will

give you hands-on experience across the full customer journey—helping to attract new leads,

engage prospects, and build long-term client relationships in both B2B and B2C markets.

You'll be involved in creating content to raise awareness of our services, contributing to email

marketing and outreach campaigns, and assisting in client communications both online and over

the phone. Your work will help strengthen our brand presence while supporting lead generation

and customer retention efforts.

As part of the team, you’ll help shape and execute marketing and sales initiatives tailored to our

specialist services. By researching new opportunities and helping build relationships with clients

and industry partners, you’ll play a key role in expanding our customer base.

This opportunity is ideal for a university student, recent graduate, or early-career professional

looking to gain experience in luxury retail marketing, business development, and customer

engagement. We're looking for someone proactive, organized, and eager to learn, with strong

communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Training and Development

Full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain real,

hands-on experience in how a luxury retail and service business operates behind the scenes. You’ll

learn how to support and grow an e-commerce and in-store business from the ground up, with

exposure to key areas such as sales, marketing, lead generation, and customer service. Whether

you're looking to build practical skills or explore a future career in business, design, or marketing,

this internship offers valuable insight and mentorship.
