Down Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Company: Norbrook Laboratories Norbrook Laboratories is recruiting for an Assistant Packaging Manager to support in overseeing day-to-day packaging operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all packaging processes. You will be instrumental in managing packaging materials, coordinating teams, and ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant health and safety guidelines. What You'll Do Lead & Inspire: Supervise and coordinate the activities of packaging line operators, ensuring training, development, and a strong culture of safety and performance. Drive Quality: Ensure all packaging operations comply with GMP, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and relevant industry regulations. Operational Output: Monitor schedules, manage resources, and troubleshoot operational issues to meet customer demands and deadlines. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production orders, materials usage, batch records, quality and training. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality and safety Essential Criteria 4 years' experience in a highly regulated manufacturing or packaging environment, with a minimum of 1 year providing supervisory support such as leading shifts, overseeing tasks, or deputising for a supervisor/manager Experience in motivating teams. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and resource management abilities. Strong working knowledge of GMP environments and health and safety requirements. Experience in training and developing less experienced team members. Proficient in all Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Publisher etc) Flexibility to meet the needs of the business, such as changing shift pattern or providing cover in other areas/departments when required. Desirable Experience in pharmaceutical industry Working knowledge of relevant IT systems and software Experience in controlling GMP documentation and processes.
