Are you a positive and patient educator with a passion for helping young people grow in confidence and ability? Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated Tutor to support a young learner in Bordon who is preparing to transition into Year 7.
The learner has some Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is looking for a Tutor who can provide a positive, confidence-boosting learning experience for 15 hours per week. Further tuitions in the local area can provide full time work.
As a Tutor you will:
1. Deliver engaging and individualised tuition in English and Maths Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the learner Adapt teaching strategies to meet the learner’s specific needs and pace Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning
About you:
2. Experience working with learners with SEN or those needing additional academic support Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths A nurturing, encouraging, and flexible teaching style Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule Experience of working within UK schools for one year or more
Position – SEN Tutor
Contract or position start date – ASAP
Contract or position end date (if applicable) – N/A
Full time/part-time – Opportunities for both
Hours – 15 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time.
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
4. Hold right to work in the UK
5. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
6. Provide references upon request
7. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
