Part-time Primary Teacher, Preston
Are you looking for a part-time teaching role for Summer Term 2024? Here at Prospero Teaching we are working with a Mainstream Primary school in Preston, that requires a Class Teacher for KS1&2 (Thursdays & Fridays) for the summer term and opportunity for progression into the following academic year upon a successful first term. You must have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and 2.
You will have full class responsibility but no planning expectations. You will need to have good curriculum knowledge, effective behaviour management skills and a positive, encouraging teaching style. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT to join a dynamic staff team, and to have the potential to join the school on a permanent basis. Initially this role is for one term, but there is a good chance for a permanent position following a successful first term.
Contract/Position Details:
1. Location – Preston
2. Position – Part-time, 2 days a week, Primary Class Teacher
3. Type of work – Class teaching
4. Start date – April 2024
5. Likely Duration – 1 Term + Possible Progression to following academic year
6. Contract type – Supply position with the potential of permanent contract
7. Rate of pay – £140-£220/day
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
It is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a UK primary school. You will need to have taught in Key Stage 1 and 2 and have good knowledge of expected attainment and progress through the year groups. You will also need to have up to date Safeguarding training. You can undertake a free accredited course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
