Description
Fixed-term, part‑time contract. To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department.

Key Responsibilities
* To deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills to 16‑18 learners and adults (daytime and/or evening)
* To produce sequencing documents, lesson and assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning
* To help co‑ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team
* To communicate assessment and timetable arrangements to the course team and students
* To work pro‑actively to forward the success and vision of the department
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Level 4 qualification in English or other related qualification
* A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards)
* Demonstrate knowledge of the GCSE English syllabus 2.0
* Demonstrate knowledge of the Functional Skills English syllabus
* Demonstrate an understanding of diverse strategies for the teaching, learning and assessment of English skills
