From their UK headquarters in Hertfordshire, they support industrial clients across England and Scotland, delivering innovative equipment and services across sectors including FMCG, food production, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and the public sector.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations / Field Service Manager to lead and develop a nationwide engineering team while contributing to ongoing innovation and business growth.The RoleYou will be responsible for managing a team of up to 18 Field Service Engineers and support staff located across the UK. The team installs, commissions, and services specialist equipment involving thermodynamics, heat transfer, heat recovery systems, and industrial burner technologies.The role is primarily office-based at the Hertfordshire head office, with regular travel to meet, mentor, and support engineers in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and develop a nationwide Field Service Engineering teamRecruit new engineers and support onboarding activitiesDeliver technical training on bespoke product ranges and systemsMentor engineers transitioning from related industries such as HVAC, commercial gas, or industrial sectorsSupport skills development, enabling engineers to expand into installation and commissioning activitiesShare technical expertise and promote continuous improvement across the teamEnsure high standards of service delivery, safety, and customer satisfactionCandidate RequirementsQualified Mechanical or Chemical Engineer (or equivalent experience)Proven experience managing engineering or field service teamsStrong leadership, coaching, and people development skillsIndustry experience within steam, boilers, HVAC, thermal systems, or oil & gas sectors is highly desirableAbility to motivate teams and drive performance across geographically dispersed locationsFull UK driving licenceWhat's on OfferExcellent salary and benefits packageCompany car
