Responsibilities
1. Strategic technical leadership of multiple cross-functional software development teams, distributed across Europe and Asia
2. Recognised as a technical authority for Cloud Platform across the wider Cloud ecosystem, driving and supporting collaboration between teams and initiatives
3. Drive teams and projects continuous improvement activities towards strategic level goals
4. Introduces and embeds industry-recognised software development best practices and techniques
5. Injects urgency and direction across the Platform teams by setting clear quarterly goals aimed at achieving the programs milestones
6. Collaborates closely with engineering management to upskill, develop and nurture the engineers within the Platform teams
7. Provides mentorship to principal engineers within the Platform teams
8. Fosters a continual learning mindset, to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in software development
Qualifications
What will make you a successful Cloud Platform Technical Lead at Waters:
9. Degree (or equivalent) in a science / software engineering related subject
10. Extensive experience and understanding of software engineering best practices (. Unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD .
11. Proven ability to lead multiple teams
12. Proven strategic level thinking
13. Excellent communication and team working skills.
14. Extensive hands-on experience of software development using Cloud technologies (. AWS, Containers, Terraform)
15. Extensive experience of using .NET to develop complex Web applications
