Health and Safety Manager
London | Circa £75,000 + All Travel and Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a high-profile construction company, with a turnover of circa £100m, to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The company is currently engaged on a broad range of major construction, demolition, and infrastructure projects, and this role is specifically focused on one of their highest-profile 'cut and carve' projects in Central London, where they act as Principal Contractor.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries
Undertaking audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findingsThe successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:
Proven experience in a similar role from a civil engineering, demolition or construction background
NEBOSH General Certificate and ideally relevant membership of IOSH
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
