The Role
As a Safety and Compliance Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The role includes supporting all elements of the Safety and Compliance Monitoring Management Systems that cover all Aviation activities, including elements of health and safety.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing and participating in Triage Meetings and capturing and recording key information.
2. Supporting investigations and the implementation of corrective/preventative measures.
3. Maintaining the Synergi Life database records of occurrences, investigations, safety assurance, including corrective/preventative actions and recommendations; communicating with responsible line managers to support effective and timely follow-up and closure.
4. Managing the Occupational Health Surveillance programme, facilitating referrals where required, updating databases, and liaising with the occupational health provider and the head of occupational health.
5. Coordinating activities such as the SAG and SARB, ensuring the reporting of minutes, actions, and the proactive progression of corrective actions, as well as monitoring and reporting trends and key focus areas.
This role is full-time and based onsite at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport). It is a 52-week full-time contract and may include travel to other sites.
Essential experience for the Safety and Compliance Officer:
* Proven ability to act on own initiative and make sound decisions that can be substantiated.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong organisational, computer literacy, report writing, and analysis skills.
Qualifications for the Safety and Compliance Officer:
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
