Freshsteps Independent School is looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our exceptional team, working across Key Stages 1 to 4. About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work alongside classroom teachers to assist in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons in a highly supportive setting.
* Key Stages: KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 – applicants must specify their preferred key stage(s) in their personal statement
* Class Sizes: Maximum of 6- 8 pupils
* Start Date: Immediate
* Environment: Nurturing, therapeutic, calm and structured
* Support: Work alongside experienced teachers and therapists
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH and/or SEND
* Is calm, resilient and nurturing in approach
* Can work confidently with challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques
* Works well as part of a team and follows direction
* Is enthusiastic, flexible and committed to making a difference
* Has good communication and interpersonal skills
* Can assist with both classroom-based learning and emotional support
* Understands the importance of safeguarding in education
* Prior experience in a school, PRU or alternative provision
Desirable (But Not Essential):
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or similar)
