Overview

We have transformed our clinical pharmacy service across NHS Fife in an ambitious project to join up care to operate as an integrated pharmacy service across hospital, primary care and specialist teams. This ensures frailty and elderly care services are joined up across Fife to care for our patients across transitions of care and ensure the best outcomes for patients with their medicines.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced pharmacy technicians registered with the GPhC with proven post qualification experience to join our integrated pharmacy team, working across Fife as part of the community health clinical pharmacy team. Your primary site will be Victoria Hospital, but you will also work across community health settings, including Acute Frailty Services, Community Hospitals, and Hospital at Home.
You will play a crucial role in providing a safe, effective pharmacy service across community health settings, ensuring smooth transitions of care. You will also support patient flow, contributing to the timely and safe provision of medicines for inpatient care, discharges, and transfers. You must be able to work independently or as part of the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team. You will be an excellent communicator who has the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals. You should have experience of working in a clinical environment and managing staff. The role will involve travelling across Fife to cover other community hospitals out with your base locations, and you will also have sessions to enable you to maintain your checking qualification.
Responsibilities
 * Provide a safe, effective pharmacy service across community health settings including Victoria Hospital, Acute Frailty Services, Community Hospitals, and Hospital at Home.
 * Ensure smooth transitions of care and support patient flow for inpatient care, discharges, and transfers.
 * Work independently or as part of the pharmacy team and multidisciplinary team.
 * Build and maintain good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
 * Travel across Fife to cover community hospitals and maintain checking qualification sessions.
 * Manage staff and support clinical pharmacy activities in a community health environment.
Qualifications
 * Experienced pharmacy technician registered with the GPhC with proven post‑qualification experience.
 * Prior appointment as a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
 * Legal right to work in the United Kingdom (UK visa/settled status).
 * Eligibility to be sponsored under UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa if not already authorized.
 * Experience working in a clinical pharmacy environment and managing staff.
