Support students with SEMH needs in a specialist secondary alternative provision
About the school:
A specialist alternative provision school for students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Focused on personalised learning and strong therapeutic support.
About the role:
Support students in and out of class, working closely with teachers and therapists. Help manage behaviour, build trust, and create a safe and engaging learning environment.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
Provide academic and emotional support to students
Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Build positive, consistent relationships with students
Maintain a safe and structured learning environmentRequirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience working with children or young people (in school or youth settings)
Understanding of SEN/SEMH (desirable)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A calm, patient and resilient attitude
