About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Deputy Manager to support the leadership and daily operations of a supported living service helping young people build confidence, independence, and a brighter future.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you’ll help lead a dedicated care team to deliver person-centred, high-quality support that promotes growth, emotional well-being, and life skills. Key Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations across the service.
* Supervise, guide, and develop care and support staff to deliver exceptional standards of care.
* Oversee and review personalised support and care plans to meet each young person’s individual needs and goals.
* Maintain compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures.
* Manage staff rotas, training, and performance reviews effectively.
* Promote a culture of empowerment, independence, and positive outcomes for all service users.
* Liaise with families, social workers, and partner agencies to ensure consistent, joined-up care.
* Handle concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with regulations.
About You
You’ll be a caring and confident leader with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting young people to thrive.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Care Supervisor role within social care.
Experience supporting young people, care leavers, or individuals with learning disabilities, emotional needs, or behavioural challenges.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable) or equivalent qualification.
Good knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and best practice in care.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
