Maintenance Technician - Days - Crumlin - NO WEEKENDS
Your Company
Our client is a specialist, precision manufacturer with sites located across the globe and more than 60 years of expertise within their field.
Your Role
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, as a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure all plant, equipment, and services on site are operational and maintained in a safe working order.
Your main duties will include:
* Diagnosing equipment faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic disciplines.
* Prioritizing work as events occur.
* Performing repairs where possible, seeking technical assistance from suppliers or manufacturers if necessary.
* Preparing requisitions with part numbers and prices for needed components.
* Planning and assisting with installation or relocation of equipment, including provision of services.
* Specifying materials required for installation or relocation in accordance with regulations.
* Conducting routine inspections of plant/equipment and taking necessary actions.
* Maintaining accurate records using appropriate systems.
* Ensuring safe working procedures are followed at all times.
* Training personnel when required.
* Communicating effectively with team leaders and management.
* Liaising with outside contractors, conducting risk assessments, and issuing permits.
* Recommending equipment improvements.
* Performing any other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
* At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop.
* Experience working with CNC turning and milling multi-axis machines.
* The ability to work safely and independently.
* Good communication skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* A results-oriented, proactive attitude.

* Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and methodical approach.
* Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
* Occasional travel may be required.
What You Will Get
In return for working a highly attractive day shift pattern (Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, early finish on Friday at 13:00), you will earn a competitive hourly rate.
