Role Description
This is a full‑time, on-site role based in Colgate. The role involves supporting the delivery of water treatment services, including assisting with installation, servicing, and maintenance of water softeners, conditioning systems, reverse osmosis units, filtration systems, and related dosing and disinfection equipment. Day‑to‑day tasks may include conducting site visits, performing routine system checks, recording test results, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting repairs under the guidance of senior engineers or technicians. The role also includes maintaining accurate service documentation, following health and safety procedures, communicating clearly with clients, and coordinating with the wider team to ensure high‑quality service. The position offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in water treatment systems within a supportive, hands‑on environment.
Qualifications
* Experience or strong interest in water treatment, plumbing, mechanical, or building services, with the ability to understand how systems such as softeners, filtration, and dosing equipment operate.
* Practical skills in using hand tools and basic test equipment, with the ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
* Good written and verbal communication skills to document work clearly, interact professionally with clients, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and a safety‑first mindset when working on‑site and with chemical dosing and disinfection systems.
* Full UK driving licence (or willingness and eligibility to obtain one) and readiness to travel to customer sites as required.
* Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in plumbing, mechanical engineering, water treatment, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
* Willingness to learn, undertake training, and stay up to date with industry standards and best practices in water treatment and system maintenance.
