Overview
Join the Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD) to support a national Closed Loop System onboard programme that improves access to diabetes CLS devices across Scotland. This high‑profile, part‑time, fixed‑term (fixed term to 31 March 2026) role offers a unique opportunity to use innovative, collaborative approaches to support the national deployment of Diabetes CLS.
Responsibilities
* Develop, deliver and evaluate a national Closed Loop System onboarding programme.
* Educate, train and support people to be onboarded to Diabetes CLS using remote/virtual methods, primarily through NHS Near Me or telephone.
* Communicate a clear vision for change, secure clinical and operational engagement and drive safe, effective, person‑centred improvements in care on a Once for Scotland basis.
* Work closely with national and territorial Boards, key partners and stakeholders.
* Provide expert guidance in the management of complex Type 1 diabetes.
* Contribute to project management planning, documentation and reporting opportunities to develop improvement methodology skills.
Qualifications
* Highly skilled diabetes healthcare professional with experience in educating, training and supporting people to be onboarded to Diabetes CLS.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong group education and facilitation skills; comfortable delivering remote training sessions.
* Experience with Type 1 diabetes management is essential.
* Project management experience is not essential but the role offers development opportunities.
