Monarch Education are working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Tameside (OL7), who are seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join their team. This role is focused on supporting pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), alongside other complex learning needs. The Role: Provide tailored support to pupils with SLCN and other complex SEN, both in class and through targeted interventions. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Use a range of communication strategies, including visual aids, Makaton or PECS (if trained) to support pupil understanding and expression. Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and reports. Foster a positive, nurturing environment that promotes independence and confidence. Requirements: Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent - essential. Experience of working with children with complex SEN, particularly SLCN. Knowledge of communication strategies and tools used in SEN settings. Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to learning support.
