Location: Dagenham, East London
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours
🕒 Flexible working hours – choose between morning, noon, or evening sessions to fit your schedule.
📍 Sessions may take place in the students home, school alternative provision setting, or the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support to children with Autism, focusing on building trust and consistency.
2. Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths lessons tailored to the learners cognitive and emotional needs.
3. Use visual, sensory and structured teaching methods to promote understanding and engagement.
4. Work closely with families and professionals to ensure the learners EHCP goals and emotional needs are supported.
5. Create a calm, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that respects the students routine and comfort zone.
Requirements:
6. Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with children with Autism in a 1:1 setting.
7. Experience teaching or delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
8. Right to work in the UK
9. Have or be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Desired:
10. SENCO experience or SEN- related training
11. ABA Qualifications or training
12. Teaching qualifications such as PGCE or QTS
