Job Title: Part-Time Finance Manager
Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week in Glasgow studio, remainder remote

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10:00am–3:00pm (flexible for school hours)
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right person)
Salary: Circa £20,000 per year
About the Role:
We are working with a growing, forward-thinking business in the creative sector that is seeking an experienced and confident Part-Time Finance Manager to take full ownership of its day-to-day finance function. This role offers the ideal balance of professional challenge and flexibility, suited to someone who values meaningful part-time work within a high-performing team.
You will report directly to the COO and play a key role in bringing structure, insight, and operational control to the finance function. This is a hands-on position in a collaborative environment where your expertise will have a clear and immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero (or a similar platform)

Produce monthly management accounts including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet
*
Run payroll and submit VAT returns
*
Handle accounts payable and receivable
*
Manage weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and 3–6 month projections
*
Support the COO with budgeting, financial modelling, and scenario planning
*
Improve finance systems, controls, and approval workflows
*
Schedule and manage payments to suppliers
*
Liaise with external accountants for quarterly reviews and year-end
Ideal Candidate:
*
5+ years of experience in SME finance
*
Qualified by Experience (QBE) or part-qualified / qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
*
Proven ability to manage a finance function autonomously
*
Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
*
Organised, detail-oriented, and dependable
*
Comfortable working independently and reporting to senior leadership
*
Proactive and efficient with a problem-solving mindset
*

Working Arrangements:

One day per week in the Glasgow studio (e.g. Tuesdays)

Remainder of hours worked remotely
*
Core working hours are Monday to Thursday, 10:00am–3:00pm however you can work around your schedule if different hours are preferred
