Job Role
To deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to clients within the Agriculture and Property Team. To support the development of the practice under supervision, while continuously enhancing personal expertise in relevant tax areas to ensure clients receive the most accurate and up-to-date advice.
Location: Banbury
Salary Package: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle tax compliance for a mixed client portfolio
2. Work with the Senior Management Team on complex tax projects including:
3. Inheritance Tax appraisals and planning
4. VAT advice
5. Stamp Duty Land Tax advice
6. Capital Gains Tax planning and compliance
7. Liaising with HMRC on investigations
8. Review and assist with tax returns
9. Train and support staff on tax matters.
10. Provide tax support to other departments as and when required.
11. Maintain regular client contact.
12. Attend relevant training to meet CPD requirements.
13. Support the development and growth of the Agriculture and Property team.
About You:
14. Personal and Business Taxes
15. Capital taxes, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
16. Familiarity with taxation software and HMRC online services
17. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
18. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
19. Ability to work commercially with a client-focused approach
20. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to generate ideas
21. High technical accuracy and attention to detail in advice and record-keeping
22. ACA/ACCA and/or CTA is essential
23. Minimum 3 years' proven tax experience within a practice environment
