While both provide the same essential support services, they are set within unique environments, offering access to a variety of on-site and nearby facilities to help young people thrive and grow in independence. About the role As an Accommodation Night Worker, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly overnight. You’ll make sure the building is clean, safe, and secure, and help welcome residents and staff during the night. You’ll also work to keep the environment calm and quiet, support your colleagues with any overnight tasks, and be ready to respond to any incidents or offer help to residents with more complex needs. Your presence will help everyone feel safe and supported through the night. What We’re Looking For Experience working with young people who have complex needs — this doesn’t have to be in a housing setting. A natural ability to connect and communicate with people from all walks of life. Strong organisational skills and a warm, approachable manner. Great communication skills and a team-focused attitude, especially when working during unsociable hours. A good understanding of mental health issues and confidence in managing challenging behaviour when needed. Days and hours – You will be contracted to work 40 hours a week, worked on a rota basis: 4 days on and 4 days off, 10pm - 8am with weekends and public holidays included in shift rota.
