AV / Conference Technician | 5 days in office
We’re working with one of the most prestigious US law firms to find an experienced, service-focused AV/Conference Technology Specialist for their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering white-glove support for high-profile meetings, depositions, training sessions, and firm events.
You’ll be the go-to expert for all things tech in the firm’s busy Conference Centre, supporting a fast-paced environment with senior stakeholders, including Partners and external clients. The role is varied and hands-on – no two days will be the same – and requires a calm, confident individual who thrives under pressure and is passionate about delivering best-in-class service.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Acting as the first point of contact for all tech needs in the Conference Centre – from AV setups to hybrid meeting support (Zoom, Teams, WebEx).
* Managing day-to-day AV operations, ensuring rooms are fully prepped and systems are running smoothly.
* Supporting presentations, depositions, client events, and internal training with high attention to detail.
* Troubleshooting AV and IT issues quickly and professionally – always with a calm and solutions-focused approach.
* Collaborating with global teams and external vendors as needed, including occasional travel to international offices.
* Maintaining documentation, equipment logs, and inventory (cables, batteries, etc.).
* Staying up to date with emerging AV tech and systems like Crestron, Qsys, and Dante.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong background in AV/Conference Room support within a law firm, professional services or high-end corporate environment.
* Excellent customer service skills – you’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders who expect a premium experience.
* A confident communicator who can explain technical info clearly to non-technical users.
* Hands-on experience with AV systems (e.g., Crestron, Polycom/Cisco, Microsoft PowerPoint, Zoom, MS Teams).
* Working knowledge of troubleshooting signal flow, sound systems, video playback formats, and digital signage (e.g., BrightSign).
* A team player who remains cool-headed in high-pressure situations and understands the importance of preparation.
* Ideally holding (or working towards) Avixa CTS certification.
Travel: Occasional international travel may be required
This is a brilliant role for someone who wants to be part of a well-established team at the heart of a globally recognised law firm. If you’re passionate about AV tech and thrive in client-facing, high-end environments, this one’s for you.
