Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and overseeing town planning projects from inception through to completion
2. Providing expert advice and guidance on development management
3. Liaising with private sector clients to deliver optimal planning solutions
4. Preparing detailed reports, planning applications, and other relevant documentation
5. Ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies
6. Representing clients at planning committee meetings and public inquiries
7. Mentoring and supporting junior planners within the team
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the sector and relevant legislation
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in private sector development management and town planning
2. Significant expertise in handling complex planning applications
3. Understanding of local authority planning processes and frameworks
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
6. MRTPI accredited
7. Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools
8. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
