Job description
We need a proactive and resilient customer-focused Income Officer to join our Rent Recovery Team, which has responsibility for the collection of local authority income streams, including housing rents and leaseholder service charges.
Your primary focus will be to monitor customer accounts and to recover any outstanding payments due. Utilising your effective numeracy, negotiation and communication skills, you will provide advice and support to our customers on a daily basis, whilst also liaising with external agencies, businesses and other departments within Oxford City Council. Some previous experience of debt collection in a similar environment would be advantageous, along with a talent for getting the best outcome for both the end customer and authority in what is a demanding area of work.
