We are seeking a passionate and creative Chef to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the dining experience for residents in a welcoming care setting.

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Hours: 24 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Part Time
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef to join a dedicated care team, creating enjoyable and nutritious meals for residents with a range of dietary requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and cooking high-quality meals to a consistently high standard
2. Catering for a variety of dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and diabetic diets
3. Creating nutritious and visually appealing pureed meals
4. Planning balanced and varied menus in collaboration with colleagues
5. Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
6. Managing stock levels and supporting food ordering processes
7. Ensuring allergens are carefully managed and dietary requirements are met
8. Building positive relationships with residents to understand their preferences and feedback
9. Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent dining experience
10. Continually seeking ways to improve meal quality, presentation and resident satisfaction
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
11. Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within a care, healthcare or similar environment
12. Knowledge of specialist dietary requirements and nutritional needs
13. Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
14. Strong organisational and time management skills
15. The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
17. A creative approach to menu planning and food presentation
18. Experience preparing meals that are both nutritious and appealing
