Vehicle Technician Vacancy - Taunton
Up To £33,000 Basic Salary + Bonus (Up To £45,000 OTE)Monday To Friday, 8am - 5.00pm + 1 Saturday Per Month, 8am - 1pm.Well-Established Car Main DealershipOur Client, a well-established Main Dealer requires an experienced and qualified Vehicle Technician to join their team in Taunton. The successful Technician will have skills in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing including, but not limited to, diagnostics and electronics, and they'll also be highly motivated and will be able to work with a degree of flexibility according to the needs of their team.

Core Mechanical DutiesDiagnosing faults using both manual checks and electronic diagnostic equipment.Carrying out repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, etc.Servicing vehicles according to manufacturer specifications (e.g., oil changes, fluid checks, filters, etc.).Inspecting vehicles (pre-delivery inspections, MOTs if certified, general health checks).Diagnostic & Technical Work:
Using manufacturer diagnostic tools/software Interpreting fault codes and performing guided diagnostics.Updating or reprogramming vehicle ECUs/software, especially in newer vehicles.Administrative Duties:
Completing job cards and service reports accurately.Reporting faults and required work clearly to the service advisor or workshop controller.Updating digital service histories in manufacturer databases.Customer Interaction:
Occasionally explaining faults or repairs to customers (if required).Supporting service advisors with technical input for estimates or warranties.Additional Duties:
Road testing vehicles before and after repair work.Maintaining a clean and organised work bay.Adhering to health & safety standards and dealership policies.Keeping up to date with technical bulletins and recalls.What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technician:
