Deputy Care Home Manager
Colne, Essex

I am looking for an experienced Deputy Manager for a wonderful care home set in the Colne valley in north Essex. The home is a Georgian mansion set in large gardens that has been sympathetically converted to provide residential and dementia care in a stunning environment with spacious and elegant bedrooms and living areas.
In this role you will:
1. Assist in managing operations within the home in order to reach or exceed goals while assuring the provision of high-quality care
2. Be in charge of overseeing the care staff
3. Be expected to assume full management in the event that the Home Manager is not present
4. Assist in training and supervising care staff in all facets of their work
5. Help the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents
6. Ensure that each resident's care plan and daily records are kept up to date
7. Foster effective communication with the residents' families and other organisations.
For this great role you must have:
8. Previous Deputy Home Manager experience
9. The ability to engage with residents to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care
10. A good working knowledge of CQC standards
11. The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team
12. The ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home
