Senior Practitioner/Senior Social Worker – Huntingdon Family Support and Safeguarding Team
Main duties of the job
Lead and support in Family Support and Safeguarding. Manage a varied caseload including Child in Need, Children in Need of Protection, Public Law Outline and care proceedings for children up to age 18. Use a Motivational Interviewing approach to work in partnership with children and families to achieve sustainable change and improved outcomes.

Job description
What will you be doing?
Day-to-day responsibilities of a Senior Practitioner include:
* Providing leadership in high-complexity cases involving risk, safety of children, young people and families
* Producing concise written and verbal reports for various settings, including court, based on analysis of complex evidence
* Leading, guiding and directing Social Workers and Child Practitioners, supporting with performance and development, including supervision
* Planning, allocation and review of cases
* Supporting recruitment and induction of staff
About you
We are looking for confident, dynamic individuals who enjoy making a difference in their local community, are curious, build relationships and explore possibilities.
You must:
* Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Be able to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
