About Westleigh House Westleigh House is a home to eighteen people with long-term mental health support needs. For many, this can be home for a number of years, although for others it acts as a very successful transitional stage towards having their own home, either on their own or sharing with others. It can also be used as a location for short breaks away from a permanent home elsewhere. Each person that lives at Westleigh House has their own bedroom and shares communal facilities for cooking, dining, personal care, relaxing and pursuing home based leisure as well as enjoying the shared use of the very spacious gardens which include a greenhouse and vegetable patch.

A Day in the Life of an Activities Co-ordinator
As an Activities Co-ordinator, no two days are the same—just like the individuals we support. Our approach is centred around person-led planning, ensuring activities are tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each person. We are committed to creating meaningful experiences and fostering positive outcomes, celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.
In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Service Manager to design and deliver engaging activities that enhance the well-being and quality of life of the people we support. You will take a hands-on approach in organising personalised activities, promoting social interaction, and encouraging participation, all while maintaining a nurturing and inclusive environment. A key part of your role will also involve leading health promotion activities, supporting individuals to make positive lifestyle choices that contribute to their overall well-being. Continuous learning and development will be encouraged to help you grow within your role.
