We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in various construction tasks. This role involves working with both hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble wooden structures, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
* Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring accurate measurements and cuts.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction projects.
* Engage in roofing activities as required, ensuring structural integrity and weatherproofing.
* Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and completed structures.
* Assist in construction painting to achieve desired finishes on wooden surfaces.
* Carry out basic plumbing tasks related to joinery work.
* Participate in masonry work when needed, contributing to overall project completion.
* Apply electrical knowledge to support joinery projects that require wiring or fixture installation.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication and assembly within the joinery or carpentry field.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
* Strong understanding of roofing techniques and materials.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Experience in construction painting is advantageous.
* Basic plumbing skills are desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with masonry practices is a plus.
* Electrical experience will be considered an asset for this role.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
